Lots of Events, regular shoots and trips

Image Torbay Full Bore Rifle & Pistol Club is a vibrant and active club. Just look at the disciplines section to see that. Or check out the calendar for what is happening, which shows events sometimes every weekend! But there is always a home range day every other Saturday, regularly. In addition, there are range days at Parracombe, days at Millpool, the Tunnel, National Shooting Centre at Bisley....There is just lots going on! Choose from the list to the left to find out more!

Regular Club Range Days

Image Every other Saturday there is a range day at our home range, near Newton Abbot.
  • Practical Shooting in the morning 10:00 rs - 12:00hrs.
  • Afternoon - end time is dependant on the time of year and last light.

Competitions

The Club runs many competitions though out the year, for rifle, pistol and blackpowder. There is a junior under 21s compeittion too. There is a list available for logged in members. At Christmas, there is a fun competition shoot, everyone brings a small gift and shoots a target. People pick a prise from the highest score to the lowest. Lots of fun and the crack is 90!

Links with Other Clubs & Organisations

We have many links with other shooting organisations and clubs, some of which are
  • NRA - The National Rifle Association. Many members are individul member of this organisation
  • UPPSA - The practical shooting association.
  • Corwall Rifle Club - invite us to Millpool.
  • NITSA - Norther Ireland Club where you can shoot proper pistols.

Regular trips

Image We visit many different ranges through the year. Check out the "Calendar" page above which shows the event calendar and associated event pages. But during the year we :-
  • Many Parracombe range days - A 100yard range in North Devon. We as a club have the range often on Saturdays between regular shoots, but also mid-week sometimes. Bring you .308s and full bore rifles.
  • The Tunnel - Trips to this commercial indoor range.
  • Zero One Range - another commercial range that we arrange trips to.
  • National Shooting Centre, Bisley - At least once a year, the club goes up to Bisley for a couple of days giving us the opportunity to shoot out to 1000xxx.
